NFL Rankings - 19 Nov

The top 4 teams all had impressive wins over the weekend, which allowed all 4 to maintain their previous rankings, and 3 of the 4 teams behind them were the losers in those contests, which allowed them to stay put as well. Here are this week's full rankings, along with each team's predicted final record and playoff seeding:

Denver survived their biggest test of the season on Sunday, outplaying the Kansas City Chiefs for 4 quarters and knocking them from the ranks of the unbeaten, taking back the division lead in the process. The road only gets tougher for the Broncos over the next 2 weeks, when they travel to New England and Kansas City in their two most brutal matchups of the season. Odds are that they lose at least one of them.

Philadelphia is getting hot at the right time, and on Sunday they won a home game for the first time in over a year, which will be very helpful in their next two games, both at home against teams that are equally alive in the playoff hunt. Nick Foles has made a strong case to be the permanent starter for the Eagles, throwing 16 touchdowns without a pick so far this season.

Carolina was ranked in my top 3 as early as week 3, back when their record was only 1-2, and many thought that they were ranked too high. Now that they have won 6 straight to run their record to 7-3, including wins over New England and San Francisco in the last 2 weeks, the arguments are now about whether or not they are the best team in the NFC, not whether they belong near the top of the rankings.
