NBA Rankings - 9 Jan

This was a very weird week in the NBA. Only one team won every game (Boston), but none were against projected playoff teams, and 3 of the 4 were by single digits. Brooklyn moved up to the top spot despite losing twice to bad teams, but they also had two blowout wins over good teams. The hottest team of the week was Golden State, who blew out Portland at Sacramento before splitting with the Clippers, while Sacramento took the biggest tumble after being blown out by Toronto and the Warriors. In all, 16 of the 30 teams are within a game of .500, making everything very muddled, but teams are ranked based on who they play and how they play, not just wins and losses, which explains how there can be a .500 at both #1 and #25 this week.
