There are now three undefeated teams, which is a new record for the midpoint of the season, and all three are ranked in the top 5 this week, after Carolina earned their spot by beating Green Bay, their first win over a team with a winning record this season. New England is still the runaway favorite, but there is no guarantee that they will repeat as champions, since no team has done it in over a decade, when the Patriots did it before.
