The hottest team in the land right now is Chicago, winners of 5 games in a row, which includes 3 straight over probable Eastern Conference playoff teams and a 28-point blowout of the Denver Nuggets. The Bulls go to Miami tomorrow, where they will be truly tested, especially with the Heat playing harder lately.
The Charlotte Bobcats came off the All-Star break on fire, winning all 3 games they've contested by an average of 11 points. Al Jefferson has been showing why he made my list of All-Star snubs, averaging 31.3 points and 10 rebounds since taking a break while he should have been playing. Charlotte has Memphis in town today, following which they take one of the toughest 3-game road trips in history, with stops in San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Miami.
Atlanta has been falling apart lately, going from 4 days over .500 on February 1 to 4 games under today thanks to an 8-game losing streak, half of which came against teams that aren't on pace to make the playoffs. They are hosting the Knicks today, a team that is equally cold, and they really need a win with the way things are trending right now.
