New Orleans made a big move this week after going 3-1 during the week, losing only at Cleveland while winning in San Antonio. They topped off the week with a 48-point blowout of the Timberwolves, who looked like an average team a week ago, in a game that featured the last 3 #1 draft picks, but was dominated by Anthony Davis' 22 points. The Pelicans look good to earn their first ever playoff berth.
After losing that game to the Pelicans last Saturday, the Spurs left on a 4-game California road trip, and so far they have gone 3-0 on the West Coast, with a visit to Sacramento coming today. The highlight was the 13 point victory at Golden State, which had just lost for the first time all season, along with a win against the Clippers, my preseason championship pick.
