NCAA Football Rankings - 9 Oct

Alabama took over the #1 spot last week, but then they barely escaped with a win yesterday at home against a mediocre Texas A&M team, and as a result the Tide dropped to #5 this week, allowing Ohio State to slide up a spot and take over the #1 ranking, the first time this season that an SEC team did not sit atop the rankings. They dispatched Michigan State easily yesterday on the road to earn that honor, and Georgia moved up right behind them to #2 after getting back on track with a blowout of Auburn. Texas' 49-0 blowout of Oklahoma helped the Longhorns move up to #3, just ahead of in-state rival TCU, who remained undefeated and is now sitting at #4.
