Last season I picked the NBA champion in the preseason for the first time in 8 years, when I picked the Heat to win the 2013 championship. Milwaukee had been #1 in my rankings throughout much of the previous 2 seasons, but had fallen short of winning it all before winning the title last year. Utah has been at #1 in my rankings for a good chunk of the last 2 seasons, but has fallen short in the playoffs, but they are starting off the season as my #1 team and my pick to win their first championship ever.
