College Football Rankings - 3 Dec

Two of the favorites lost yesterday in conference championship games, and it's causing a bit of controversy regarding which 4 teams will be selected for the playoff. Clemson and Oklahoma seem like almost definite picks, and Georgia should get in as well, but there is a debate between Alabama and Ohio State for the final spot. The committee has said that conference titles matter, but went against that last year when they selected Ohio State over Penn State. Alabama's argument is that they lost only once this year, and it was to a top 10 team, while Ohio State lost twice, including a blowout against Iowa, who is not ranked by the committee, but it #14 in my ranks. The problem with that argument is that Wisconsin can say the same thing: they lost only once, in their final game, to a team ranked in the top 10, but the difference is that the Badgers played a much tougher schedule than Alabama, so the Badgers should be considered before the Tide, and since the Badgers lost their conference title game to Ohio State, I believe that the Buckeyes should receive that 4th spot, with Wisconsin #5 and Alabama #6.
