NFL Rankings and Weekend Predictions

Both undefeated teams were blown out on the road this weekend, leaving 7 one-loss teams to fight it out for the #1 spot in the rankings. Last year's Super Bowl teams have bubbled up into the top 3, along with the team I picked to supplant Denver in this year's Super Bowl, so I'm feeling pretty good about my pick of Seattle over San Diego so far. Here are my full rankings for this week, along with my picks for every game of the weekend:

Denver has risen to the top this week, where they spent a good chunk of last season, following a huge blowout of the previously undefeated Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos' four opponents so far are ranked 3-6 right now, with the lone loss coming at #3 Seattle in overtime. They finally get a break this weekend, when they head to New Jersey to face the Jets, currently a bottom-5 time.

People started to panic after Green Bay started the season 1-2, but Aaron Rodgers asked the fans for patience, and the Packers have responded with 2 straight 20+ point wins against division foes, which moves them into the top 10 and gives them the lead in the race for the NFC North. The Pack does need to watch for a letdown this week in Miami, which is coming off a bye and will be ready for the upset.

Buffalo pulled off a big comeback on Sunday against Detroit, coming back from down 14-0 to win 17-14. With both of their losses coming against teams that are on pace to make the playoffs, and right now it looks like the Bills will be joining them, as they are projected to win the AFC East for the first time in over a decade.
