NFL Rankings and Weekend Predictions

Denver took another win on Sunday, bumping their record to 4-1, and helping them hold on to the #1 spot for another week, while the AFC took the top 5 spots, three coming from the very strong AFC West. Seattle, even with two losses, still has the highest rank in the NFC, but has a lot of competition hot on their heels. Here are this week's full rankings, playoff predictions, and weekend picks:

Kansas City did not play this week, but still managed to move into the top 5 with a losing record. Other than their strange week 1 loss to Tennessee, the Chiefs have been very strong, with road losses to Denver and San Fran, along with wins over Miami and New England. The Chiefs play their 4th top 10 team of the season this Sunday when they visit San Diego, and they just may be able to pull off the upset.

Dallas just won their fifth straight game, but this one was the most impressive yet. The Cowboys won in Seattle, just the second time the Seahawks have lost at home in Russell Wilson's tenure, and DeMarco Murray became the second player in history to rush for at least 100 yards and a touchdown in 6 straight games. It looks like America's Team is back, although we still haven't seen December.

The Patriots are finally starting to look good, with two straight wins against teams in playoff contention, which makes it hard to believe that just two weeks ago the media was saying the New England dynasty was dead. This year's team may not be as explosive as some of the title teams, but with Tom Brady and an improving Gronk, this team is again the favorite in the AFC East.
