Portland moved up to #3 this week after going 4-0, highlighted by 2 wins over the San Antonio Spurs. They won easily in Portland on Monday, but had to fight the Spurs through three extra periods last night before taking down the defending champs. The week could not have gone better for the Blazers.
Dallas was not perfect this week, losing at home to the Warriors last Saturday, but they went on the road and beat up on two Eastern Conference cellar dwellers afterward, then stole Rajon Rondo from Boston for spare parts. The Mavs gave San Antonio a run in last year's playoffs, and look poised to do more this year.
