NFL Rankings and Weekend Predictions

The top teams in the league did not disappoint in week one, with one San Diego losing among the top 5, and they were on the road against an angry Arizona team, which won by a point. The two teams from Missouri collapsed, with Kansas City getting blown out by Tennessee and St. Louis realizing how lost they are without Sam Bradford. Here are my rankings for every team through week one:

Minnesota was one of the worst teams last season, so expectations weren't high heading to St. Louis, but the Vikings new offense ran all over the Rams, who had one of the better defenses last season. This week we'll get a better feel for how good Minnesota is when they host New England on Sunday.

Tennessee went into Kansas City on Sunday to face a Chiefs team that made the playoffs last year and had high hopes to dethrone Denver for the division title this year, but the Titans looked like the team with playoff aspirations under new coach Ken Whisenhunt, who took Arizona to the Super Bowl a few years ago.

Detroit looked especially sharp in its first game, with Calvin Johnson racking up nearly 100 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter alone. This week they go to Carolina, who was a playoff team last year and is expecting to get Cam Newton back this week, so the Lions will need to play at full strength to get to 2-0.
