NFL Rankings - 8 Oct

The New England Patriots continued their early-season dominance this weekend, destroying the Redskins, but it still wasn't enough to lift them to #1 due to their extremely weak strength of schedule, which is by far the worst in the league so far. Three of the teams they've played so far have not won a single game and are the bottom 3 teams in this week's ranking. The 49ers are still on top because they have played nearly as well against a schedule that is a bit better, with three of their past opponents to finish around .500.
