Fantasy Football Rankings - Week 3

Now that two weeks are in the books this season, we are able to see averages for players and teams and how they compare to opponents' averages, which means that I no longer have to rely on last season's data to fill in the gaps. As more games are played and more data is available, the rankings should become better and better. Last week, the top overall scorer was Ben Roethlisberger, my #2 overall QB, and the top running back was DeAngelo Williams, who was #1 in my rankings. Here are my rankings for week 3:

Jacksonville made Ryan Tannehill look like a superstar last week, so just imagine what they'll do for Tom Brady, who has been the top quarterback overall so far this season.

LeVeon Bell comes back from his suspension this week, and if you saw how DeAngelo Williams filled in in his absence, there is no doubt that Bell is going to have a monster week against the Rams' defense, which made a star out of Matt Jones last week.

Gronk is the obvious choice as the top TE almost every week, but this season has seen more tight end scoring than any season in decades so far, so there are plenty of other good options to pick up.

Robbie Gould has hit 3 field goals in each of his first two games, including a 50+ yarder in each. Putting him in against Seattle may not seem smart, but the Seahawks actually give up a lot of points to kickers by keeping teams out of the end zone.

The Jets have had 5 takeaways in each of their first two games, and they are facing the anemic Eagle offense this week, so they are a great choice.
