NFL Playoff Odds

The NFL Playoffs begin in two days, so I have gone through every possible scenario to determine each team's odds of advancing through the playoffs and into the Super Bowl. I've broken it down by round, and have also included my own picks for each game of this year's playoffs at the end. Here we go:

Odds of Winning Wild Card Game

1. Dallas - 73.4%
2. Indianapolis - 62.8%
3. Carolina - 61.0%
4. Pittsburgh - 59.5%
5. Baltimore - 40.5%
6. Arizona - 39.0%
7. Cincinnati - 37.2%
8. Detroit - 26.6%

Odds of Winning Divisional Round

1. Seattle - 83.6%
2. New England - 75.9%
3. Denver - 73.0%
4. Green Bay - 66.1%
5. Dallas - 28.2%
6. Pittsburgh - 17.0%
7. Indianapolis - 16.0%
8. Carolina - 11.2%
9. Baltimore - 10.3%
10. Cincinnati - 7.8%
11. Arizona - 6.2%
12. Detroit - 4.6%

Odds of Making Super Bowl

1. Seattle - 55.7%
2. New England - 48.2%
3. Denver - 35.5%
4. Green Bay - 28.2%
5. Dallas - 11.0%
6. Pittsburgh - 6.0%
7. Indianapolis - 5.0%
8. Baltimore - 3.2%
9. Carolina - 2.7%
10. Cincinnati - 2.1%
11. Arizona - 1.30%
12. Detroit - 1.28%

Note: If Arizona makes the Super Bowl, which is looking pretty unlikely, they would be the first team in history to play a Super Bowl on their home field.

Odds of Winning Super Bowl

1. Seattle - 32.3%
2. New England - 24.0%
3. Denver - 17.1%
4. Green Bay - 14.5%
5. Dallas - 5.2%
6. Pittsburgh - 2.0%
7. Indianapolis - 1.6%
8. Baltimore - 1.1%
9. Carolina - 0.8%
10. Cincinnati - 0.5%
11. Arizona - 0.46%
12. Detroit - 0.41%

7 teams have hardly any chance of winning, with 4 teams, all of which have first-round byes, as the obvious favorites. If anyone makes it out of Wild Card weekend, it will most likely be Dallas.

My Picks

Upset picks are in italics.

Wild Card

Arizona 20, Carolina 19
Baltimore 24, Pittsburgh 23
Indianapolis 28, Cincinnati 24
Dallas 31, Detroit 21

Divisional Round

Seattle 28, Arizona 12
Green Bay 28, Dallas 24
New England 28, Baltimore 20
Denver 31, Indianapolis 21

Conference Championships

Seattle 24, Green Bay 17
Denver 28, New England 27

Super Bowl

Denver 27, Seattle 24

Note: No team has played in back-to-back Super Bowls since 2004-2005, when New England made a return trip, and they were also the last repeat champions. There hasn't been a Super Bowl rematch in 20 years, when Dallas and Buffalo played each other twice in a row, the only time it has ever happened.
