The Hawks now own a 3-game lead in the East, and they face the other three top contenders in the next 8 days, which will show the true Eastern hierarchy.
Houston made a big move this week despite not beating a good team since December 26. They've lost to all 4 good opponents since then, but they've also beaten all 4 bad opponents, which means that they are winning when they are supposed to, and they are good enough to make the playoffs, but definitely not good enough to win a title this year.
