Duke has been the hottest team in college basketball lately, winning both of their games this week in impressive fashion, and they have pretty much locked up a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They have only 4 losses this season, all on the road against foes who have hopes of making the tournament next week, which made their last win even bigger, because they took down their rival Tar Heels on the road by 16 points, putting no doubt in anyone's mind that they are still the class of the ACC, whether they win the title or not.

Creighton recovered from a rough patch that had dropped them from the national rankings for the first time all season by walking right through the MVC tournament, beating the Wichita State Shockers in the final to reclaim the conference crown for their own. The wins moved them back into the top 25 of the AP poll, but in my rankings it moved them into the top 10, a height they hadn't reached since the end of January.

Colorado State moved back into my top 25 this week by winning both of its games, which has been very difficult for any team in the Mountain West to accomplish lately. 6 of their 7 losses have come against teams that deserve to keep playing beyond this week, and they have also racked up 5 wins over teams of that same caliber.

Georgetown lost for the first time in 6 weeks at Villanova this week, but they redeemed themselves by beating up on Syracuse to close out the regular season, and as a result they moved up 5 spots in my rankings. With a strong showing in the conference tournament, the Hoyas could easily find themselves in the top 10 heading into March Madness.
