NBA Rankings - 14 Mar

The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally made it official: they are the best team in the Eastern Conference. This week they blew out the Dallas Mavericks on the road, then made an amazing comeback two nights later in San Antonio to win in overtime, with Kyrie Irving scoring a career-high and league season-high 57 points. Here are this week's full rankings:

The surprise entry into the top 10 this week is the Indiana Pacers, who have won 7 games in a row, including wins over Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Chicago. They also beat Golden State a few weeks ago, and are starting to look like a definite playoff team in the weak Eastern Conference, and they may even make it to .500 before the season ends.

The Memphis Grizzlies dropped from the top 10 to make room for Indiana, and the reason is injuries. 4 of their 5 starters are currently out, and they have lost 3 of 4 on their current road trip. Luckily, none of the injuries seem to be serious, and they will rebound and finish the season strong.

The Eagles are far from a sure thing today when they play UL Monroe, but I am running out of teams I can pick now that the season is nearly over, so we'll see how this one goes.
